Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Drive all key programs and engineering projects for FRAM Group (Fram Filtration & Autolite). Manage Portfolio Engineering programs and prioritize the management of all projects through the product development process (PDP). Develop and own cross functional training for project management skills. Lead program management team of 3-5 program managers. Personally manage high impact programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and coaching for program managment team
  • Personally manage high impact programs
  • Identify any resource gaps for project execution
  • Provide project teams with key skills to successfully manage projects
  • Assure integrity of phase gate process by reviewing project data
  • Drive culture of ownership, accountability, and execution to key project metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement in project cycle times

Job Requirements

RQUIREMENTS (Education/Experience/Certifications/Skills)

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project management leadership, primarily in automotive products.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work priorities and planning and task delegation.
  • Strong internal/external customer service skills.
  • Build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of people.
  • Ability to build cohesive work teams.
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Use logic and appropriate methods to solve problems with effective solutions.
  • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Extensive experience in Domestic & International Quality Standards.
  • Working knowledge of: Material Science; Fluid Mechanics; Design FMEA’s; Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing; PPAP’s; Advanced Quality Planning; Design of Experiments, Mistake Proofing, Problem Solving, Bench Marking, Design for Assembly; Manufacturing; Finite Element Analysis
  • Must be able to maintain satisfactory record of attendance and conduct. Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required.
